Liverpool's U19s will make an end-of-season visit to Germany this week as they take part in the Lebenshilfe Cup alongside an official LFC Foundation inclusion team.

The two sides will compete against the likes of Hertha Berlin, Hamburg SV and Galatasaray in a tournament that will be hosted in Stemwede.

Ahead of the trip, the club's official charity's inclusion team visited the Academy to meet the U19 squad before competing in a Premier League tournament at The Hawthorns, home of West Bromwich Albion - see more in the photo gallery below.

On the joint trip, Academy director Alex Inglethorpe said: "This is a fantastic, unique opportunity for Liverpool Football Club to be involved in a tournament such as the Lebenshilfe Cup with an Academy side competing as well as an official LFC Foundation inclusion team.

"This is one of the oldest Academy tournaments in Europe and I know that both teams are really excited to be able to watch each other play over in Germany. I am sure that both teams will really enjoy the tournament so hopefully they are able to add to our trophy collection at Liverpool FC."

Andrea Cooper, head of the LFC Foundation, added: "It's absolutely brilliant to be able to have an official LFC Foundation inclusion team involved in this year's Lebenshilfe Cup, where they will travel and be in accommodation with one of our Academy sides.

"I know how excited the players are to be able to be travelling over to Germany for the tournament with the Academy lads, so hopefully this is the first of many trips abroad for our inclusion team."
