Liverpool U23s will hope to take a big step towards qualifying for the knockout stages of the Premier League Cup when they face Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Tuesday night.

The top two sides in the group qualify for the next stage of the competition and, with just two games remaining, things are tight at the top.

Neil Critchley's side sit at the summit of Group G on goal difference ahead of Stoke City and Bristol City - all three sides have seven points.

After last week's 1-0 defeat away to Tottenham Hotspur in Premier League 2, the young Reds will be hoping to get back to winning ways.
