Jordan Henderson, Jürgen Klopp and the Liverpool squad paid their respects on the 29th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.

96 children, women and men lost their lives as a result of the events which unfolded during the FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest on April 15, 1989.

Tributes were paid to the 96 – and the families, survivors, fans and all involved in the long campaign for justice – during Saturday’s match against Bournemouth.

This morning, the Liverpool captain and manager placed a floral tribute alongside the Hillsborough memorial at Anfield on behalf of the club.

The Reds squad then gathered around the Hillsborough memorial at Melwood to observe a minute’s silence in memory of the 96 before their training session.

Flags at the stadium and Melwood were flown at half-mast.
