Liverpool are keeping tabs on Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore, according to reports in France.

The Argentine international has struggled with injuries this term and has made just 10 Ligue 1 starts for the French champions.

As a result, Pastore's future at the Parc des Princes has been cast in doubt, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Juventus all keen on making a bid for him this summer.

And, according to France Football, Liverpool scouts were in France last Friday to get a closer look at Pastore during PSG's 4-0 win over Rennes.

Reds boss Jürgen Klopp has apparently identified Pastore as his prime target to strengthen his midfield next season and the 26-year-old could be tempted by a move to the Premier League having fallen out of favour with PSG manager Laurent Blanc.

Pastore signed for PSG back in 2011 from Palermo and has amassed over 200 appearances for the club.
