Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign PSG star Lucas Moura from under the noses of Manchester United, according to reports.

Liverpool are on the lookout for a new attacker after losing Philippe Coutinho to La Liga giants Barcelona at the weekend.

Moura could fit the bill with the Brazil international likely to leave PSG in order to secure regular game time ahead of the World Cup in Russia later this year.

Reports have claimed the 25-year-old is on his way to Manchester United, with the player supposedly agreeing to move to Old Trafford.

But French newspaper Le Parisien say that Liverpool have now been offered the chance to sign him instead.

Moura supposedly has no intention of playing for PSG beyond the end of the month.

The player has fallen out of favour after the Ligue 1 giants spent big to sign the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the summer.

Moura has played just 71 minutes in the league for PSG and, so drastically has his stock fallen, he is not even cup-tied for the Champions League.

That could work in Liverpool’s favour with the club still in Europe’s biggest club competition.

And Le Parisian say the Reds can sign him on the cheap as a replacement for Coutinho.

The player supposedly is keen to leave Ligue 1, ruling out a move to Monaco or Lyon.

PSG boss Emery recently explained why Moura was not playing.

And he all but admitted it was down to Neymar and Mbappe.

"Some players who play less, maybe they can be protagonists of another team because they are good players and do not have the opportunity to play here, like Lucas Moura or Hatem Ben Arfa," he said.
