Napoli have seemingly 'named their price' on former Liverpool target Piotr Zielinski.

And according to reports in Italy, that could reignite interest at Anfield.

The Reds had an £11.5million bid from Udinese rejected in the summer of 2016, with the Polish international moving to Naples instead.

He has progressed well at San Paolo, establishing himself as an important member of Maurizio Sarri's squad, with his manager hailing him as a potential heir to Kevin De Bruyne.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Serie A leaders are desperate to keep the 23-year-old midfielder, and have placed a price tag of near £58million on him.

The report suggests the move has been made to deter the likes of Liverpool after their previous interest in the player.

Earlier this week, Polish FA chief and former national star Zbigniew Boniek said his compatriot was even better than De Bruyne.

“He will be the next De Bruyne? I think Zielinski already has more quality than De Bruyne,” he said.

“They are different kind of players, of course, but they have the same ability to leave their mark on the team. I think that he will become a top player. He was 16, I went to see a Poland youth international match and thought: ‘This is an extraordinary player’.”
