Matt Beard has described the all-round qualities of Taylor Hinds and Gemma Bonner ahead of potential Liverpool FC Women milestones for the duo this evening.

Hinds is in line to make her 100th outing for the Reds against Chelsea at Prenton Park, while Bonner could take her appearance tally across two spells with the club to 150.

Writing in the matchday programme, Beard says: "All being well, Taylor Hinds and Gemma Bonner will both be making milestone appearances this evening. Taylor is set to play her 100th game for the club and Gemma her 150th.

"Taylor's had a good season. Obviously she was injured recently for the first time in a while but she came back in and I thought she was excellent against Bristol City.

"I also thought she performed really well in the second half against Man City, which was obviously a tough game for her to come back into after her time out, so I'm really pleased with her.

"What I love about Taylor is she's got a great personality. She's funny off the pitch but then she also has that aggressive side to her game on it, so she gives you that quality too. She's not a shouter or a screamer but she trains really well day in, day out.

"I think she has bounced back well from a tough period, especially last year when we came back up into the WSL. She started the season really well and then there was a little bit of a dip in form but she just got her head down and worked hard. That showed me leadership qualities and she has already captained the team on a lot of occasions.

"As I say, when I see her on the pitch day in and day out and look at how she trains and couple that with her personality, I think at a young age she's still growing into this type of role.

"A great thing for me is I can see leadership qualities there and I know there's more to come from her in that sense. That's only going to improve her as a player and as a person. She will take a lot from leading the team this year and hopefully we'll see the rewards in the future.

"As for Gemma, it's difficult to know what to say that hasn't been said so many times before!

"She is simply a great servant to this football club and both she and Taylor deserve the accolades that will come with these milestones."
