Stadium Expansion

Anfield Project

The Anfield Project sets out a vision for the regeneration of the Anfield area. The project is led by a partnership of Liverpool City Council, Liverpool Football Club and Your Housing Group. The partnership has been formed with the aim of creating an attractive environment in Anfield. The proposals include the expansion of Anfield Stadium, new and refurbished housing and the development of a new public square including commercial and retail premises and a revitalised high street.

Local Jobs and Opportunities

The expansion of the Main Stand has created more than 1000 new matchday roles at Anfield. The expanded 20,500 seater features state-of-the-art fan concourse and hospitality facilities together with premium public space – creating a wide range of casual opportunities across the Club’s matchday kitchen, retail, catering, safety, hospitality, tours and museum teams.

Local Travel and Transport
We aim to reduce the number of cars used to travel to the stadium to help rminimise the impact of matchday traffic on local residents. All major car parks within close proximity of the ground will be managed by the Club to ensure that only those with a pre-booked parking pass can approach the stadium. We will also actively encourage the use of public transport by providing designated drop-off and pick-up points close to the stadium for matchday buses and taxis. View the 2018/2019 Season Transport Plan
