Defender Andre Wisdom is on the fringes of the first team at Anfield and is currently on loan with Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.

The Leeds-born youngster is a graduate of our Academy and his young career has been scattered with memorable moments.

He was a fixture in the England U16 side that won the 2008 Victory Shield - and two years later there would be more silverware with Three Lions on his chest.

Wisdom was a key member of the England team that won the Euro U17 Championships in the summer of 2010, scoring at both ends as his country landed their first ever success at that level with a 2-1 win over Spain.

He would go on to captain England U19s before being handed an U21s debut against Israel in September 2011.

After impressing with our own U18 and U21 sides for several years, Wisdom broke into the first team under Brendan Rodgers, operating as a right-back instead of his more familiar central role.

The teenager was handed an opportunity in a Europa League clash with Young Boys in September 2012 - and marked his debut with a headed goal.

Injuries to former Reds Martin Kelly and Jose Enrique meant further chances came his way in the weeks to come, and his assured performances ensured he would now be firmly in the first-team frame.

Indeed, in January 2013, he was rewarded with a new long-term contract with the Reds.

Nine months later, Wisdom joined Championship side Derby County on loan for the remainder of the season; there he played regularly and impressively, as the Rams narrowly missed out on promotion.

He was on the move again before the start of the 2014-15 season when he joined Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion on a season-long loan.

He made 24 league appearances for the Baggies before returning to Anfield and signing another new long-term deal with Liverpool in May 2015.

Having travelled on the subsequent summer tour, the next step of Wisdom's development involved a loan switch to Norwich City in the top flight for 2015-16.

And Andre was temporarily on the move again in 2016, agreeing a season-long switch to the Austrian Bundesliga with Red Bull Salzburg.
